TV Broadcast: FOX

Betting on the Washington Football Team (+6.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-0

No permanent team name? No problem for Washington, who ushered in the ‘Football Team’ era by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-17. Washington’s defense mauled Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz in the pocket, sacking him eight times and intercepting two of his passes. Rookie and second-overall pick Chase Young flashed brilliance right away in his first pro game, recording 1.5 sacks and two QB hits. Young and Matt Ioannidis along with Ryan Kerrigan should spend this coming Sunday’s game laser-focused on catching the mobile Kyler Murray, who was sacked twice in Week 1. Washington’s offense has so much room to improve, but Dwayne Haskins should still be feeling good after going 17 for 31 for 178 passing yards and a touchdown without an interception in the Eagles game.

The over is 4-0 in Washington’s last four games.

Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (-6.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-0

Year 2 of the Kyler Murray experience is off to a great start. Murray and the Cardinals showed that they should be taken seriously right away after beating the reigning NFC champs San Francisco 49ers on the road last Sunday, 24-20. Murray went 26-of-40 for 230 passing yards and a touchdown with an interception. He also hed the Cards on the ground with 91 rushing yards and a score on 13 carries. Washington’s pass rush will test Murray’s quickness and ability to create on the fly, but he’ll always have DeAndre Hopkins to throw at. The talented receiver had 151 receiving yards on 14 receptions and 16 targets. He’s the only Cardinal to have more than five targets. Arizona might have to diversify the workload of its receivers to keep Washington’s secondary on its toes.  Arizona’s ground attack, which had 180 rushing yards in Week 1, will also put to the test Washington’s defense against the run that wasn’t at all challenged by the Eagles.

The Cardinals are 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games.
