The Seattle Seahawks will look to get rid of the bitter taste in their mouth after losing to the Arizona Cardinals last week, as they host the streaking San Francisco 49ers. The two teams split their two games in 2019, with both road teams winning.

Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (+3)
Regular Season Record: 4-3
The 49ers were one of the surprises of late After getting decimated by the Miami Dolphins in a Week 5 loss, the 49ers looked like they were about to be crushed even more the following week by the Los Angeles Rams. Instead, the Niners flipped the script — and the switch — and scored a 24-16 win at home. They followed that up with a 33-6 annihilation of the New England Patriots in Foxboro in Week 7. The Niners’ ground attack has reenergized the team, as they averaged 150.0 rushing yards over their last three games. Against the Pats, they rushed for 197 yards and four touchdowns. However, their leading rusher in that game, Jeff Wilson (112 rushing yards) has been placed on injured reserve, so Jerick McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty will have to split the duties in the ground attack until Tevin Coleman returns from a knee injury. Despite those injuries in the backfield, the Niners can still expect success on the ground against Seattle’s lousy defense that’s the worst in the league with 479.2 total yards allowed per game. Seattle’s third-down defense is also just 25th in the NFL with opponents resetting the downs on nearly 49 percent of third-down tries.
The 49ers are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games away from home.
Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (-3)
Regular Season Record: 5-1
The Seahawks are undefeated no more after their hot start to the season was extinguished by the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday in a 37-34 road loss. Russell Wilson had a shaky performance in that game. He passed for 388 yards and three touchdowns but also threw for three interceptions on 33-of-50 completions. Tyler Lockett had a monstrous performance against the Cards, as he finished with 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 15 receptions. Wilson is arguably the best quarterback in all of football today, so you can count on him not to be as careless with his throws even against San Francisco’s pass defense that’s top three in the NFL. Last year, against a more formidable version of San Francisco’s defense, Wilson collected three passing touchdowns against just an interception in two games that were split evenly. Seattle’s run game is currently banged up with Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde, and Travis Homer all dealing with injuries, though, none of them have yet to be ruled out for Week 8.
The Seahawks are 2-1 against the spread in their last three games at home.
Writer’s Prediction
The 49ers win, 30-27.
