The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-1 yet they are playing catch up to the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers for the top seed in the AFC, which is also why they can’t relax when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are second in the NFC South and can’t afford to lose a game if they want to finish first in their division.

Regular Season Record: 9-1
The Chiefs got a 35-31 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on the road in Week 11 because they have Patrick Mahomes and because Patrick Mahomes almost always mean money. Mahomes went 34 of 45 for two touchdowns and an interception in that game, with his second touchdown being the game-winner for the Chiefs, who will come to Tampa as the sixth-best scoring team in the league. Kansas City is averaging 29.1 points per game behind a passing attack that is 11th in the NFL with 259.5 passing yards per contest. After seeing the Bucs struggle in containing the LA Rams’ receivers last Monday, the group of Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Demarcus Robinsonm and Mecole Hardman are looking forward to making huge plays downfield. Kelce had 127 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Raiders game, while Hill had 102 receiving yards and a score as well.
The Chiefs are 3-1 against the spread in their last four road games.
Betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3.5)
Regular Season Record: 7-4
The Bucs have their egos bruised in Week 11, as they got punched in the gut by the Rams in a 27-24 loss at home. Tom Brady had a bad outing, as he got picked off twice, though he did have two passing touchdowns. The key for the Bucs is for their offensive line to keep opposing defenses from pressuring Brady in the pocket. To that end, it appears that the Bucs are up to task, as they are fifth in the league with a 3.34 offensive sack percentage. Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski could play big roles this coming Sunday for Tampa because of their size. Last Sunday, the Chiefs had a hard time slowing down Raiders tight end Darren Waller, who had 88 receiving yards and a touchdown on eight receptions. Evans had a spectacular touchdown score in the Rams game, while Gronk was targeted six times and finished with 25 receiving yards on just two catches.
The under is 2-1 in the Buccaneers’ last three home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Chiefs win, 27-24.
