Jalen Hurts was not at his best when the Eagles took on Jacksonville in Week 4. Hurts went just 16/25 for 204 yards and were not able to pass for a touchdown while also getting intercepted once. He did score on the ground, though, to go with 38 rushing yards on 16 carries. The win showed that the Eagles can be carried by their defense which had four sacks and an interception. The Eagles also forced five turnovers in total. On the season, the Eagles are No. 1 in the NFL with 2.5 takeaways per game and also No. 1 with just 0.5 giveaways per contest.
The Eagles are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in October.
Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (+5.0)
Regular Season Record: 2-2
The Cardinals had to battle back from a slow start again in Week 4. The Panthers were ahead at the half, 10-3, before Arizona turned it on in the second half. The Cardinals saw Kyle Murray pass for 207 yards and two touchdowns against an interception on 23/32 completions. That was far from ideal, but Arizona’s rushing attack was much better and helped carry the offense with 132 yards on the ground and a touchdown. The key for Arizona in Week 4 is to win the possession battle and avoid Philly’s defense from getting turnovers. The good news for Arizona is that it is tied for the best mark in the league with just 0.5 giveaways per game. The Cardinals are also third in the league in offensive quarterback sack rate (3.8%).
The Under is 4-1 in the Cardinals’ last five games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Eagles win, 27-24.
