Betting on the New York Jets:
Coming off a huge upset win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New York Jets are hoping for another one when they face their rivals the New England Patriots in Week 2.
The Jets have not won against the Patriots since their divisional playoff game in 2011—right before everything started going downhill for them.
The Jets have lost four straight meetings between the two teams, and their last by 30 points. They also lost three of their last four against-the-spread (ATS) against the Pats.
On the bright side, Gang Green has been competitive on the road with a 4-4 ATS record. Rookie quarterback Geno Smith played well against the Bucs with 24-on-38 passes for 256 yds and one touchdown.

Betting on the New England Patriots:
The New England Patriots started sluggishly against the Buffalo Bills before quarterback Tom Brady became “Tom Terrific,” leading a comeback that gave his team a close 23-21 win. For Week 2, they go back to Foxborough to face the New York Jets.
Ever since the 2011 Divisional Round loss they suffered against the Jets, they’ve won four straight meetings. The Pats are also 4-1 in their last 5 home games against the Jets.
Last season, they lead the NFL in scoring with 557 total points (34.8 ppg) and were ranked no. 9 on defense with 331 total points allowed (20.7 opp ppg). That’s a +226 point differential, which contributed to their 11-5 O/U record.
The Patriots were undefeated in their division last year en route to a 12-4 season.
