At long last, the Golden State Warriors’ seven-game road trip is finally coming to an end. It’s been another very successful trip, with the Dubs winning five of the first six. However, their last stop takes them to Oklahoma City, where they’ve had a very tough time beating the Thunder over the years. Will the Warriors get a rare road win over a Thunder team that’s experiencing a post-All-Star break hangover?

Betting on the Golden State Warriors (52-5)

Steph Curry has been simply sensational in the month of February. The reigning MVP dropped another 51-point game – his second of the month – to lead the Warriors to a 130-114 win over the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. Curry is now averaging 35.7 PPG this month, and shooting a sizzling 50 percent from beyond the arc – on 12 attempts per game.

The Warriors, though, have gone just 4-5 ATS in nine games this month, and just 2-5 ATS in the last seven. The increasingly inflating spreads haven’t helped the Dubs, although they are still second behind only the Spurs with a 33-23-1 ATS record for the season.

One of the games where the Warriors did cover was in a 116-108 home win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 6. Curry had one of his worst shooting games of the month – he went 10-of-26 from the field and just 1-of-9 from three – but the bench came to the rescue with 42 big points.

With the OKC supporting cast underperforming in the past couple of games, the Warriors’ superior depth should once again give them that added edge on the road.

Klay Thompson, who had just nine points on 4-of-10 shooting against the Magic, should be due for a bounce-back game. The reigning three-point shootout champ hasn’t had back-to-back single-digit scoring games all season.

Betting on the Oklahoma City Thunder (41-17)

The Oklahoma City Thunder are officially in a funk. Despite Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant combining for 76 points, they still fell to the lowly New Orleans Pelicans, 123-119, on Thursday. They’ve now gone just 1-3 SU and ATS in their four games post-All-Star break, their worst run since mid-November.

The Thunder haven’t been getting the production they need from their supposedly improved supporting cast. Apart from Serge Ibaka and the dynamic duo, only Enes Kanter scored in double-figures in any of their last three losses.

As good as Durant and Westbrook are, they desperately need their teammates to pick up the slack. The Thunder are just 9-9 when both All-Stars score at least 25 points in a game.

Perhaps a big showdown at home against the league-leading Warriors is just the game to jumpstart the rest of the team. The Thunder have the size and the athleticism that makes them a relatively good match up against the Dubs, and it’s shown in their amazing record at home against Golden State over the years.

Since New Year’s Eve 2008, Durant and co. are 11-1 (7-4-1 ATS) in their last 12 home games against Golden State.
