2016 Alabama Crimson Tide Football Preview

Team Strengths:

Coming off another championship under Nick Saban, the Crimson Tide are looking to roll again this season. Their mission to repeat will be aided by Alabama’s defense that may lost some talent but retained a number of starters from last season in which the Crimson Tide ranked second in scoring defense with only 13.9 points per game. Speaking of Saban, the coach has won it all in college. Love him or hate him, his ability to mold a team into a championship contender is undeniable. Team Weaknesses:

While the defense looks stable, there are some issues to be addressed on the other side of the ball. Make no mistake about it, Alabama’s offense can still crush it with the talent left in Tuscaloosa, but not having their top two running backs from last season makes the Crimson Tide’s backfield a bit iffy. With Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake now in the NFL, Saban will not have any one of his top two running backs on the field for the first time since 2006.
