The Arizona Cardinals are back to the drawing board after losing to the Los Angeles Rams at home Sunday, 20-12. That’s two losses now for the Cardinals who were expected to be a legitimate playoffs contender in the NFC. ASs for the Carolina Panthers, they are not looking good either this season, but at least they finally got a win with a 22-14 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. Will the Cardinals gain some much-needed stability with a win this weekend? Or will the Panthers go on a winning streak for the first time in the Baker Mayfield era of the franchise? Line: Arizona Cardinals (+1.0) vs Carolina Panthers (-1.0) – view all 2022 NFL lines
TV Broadcast: NFL Network
Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (+1.0)
Regular Season Record: 1-2
The Cardinals are a better team on paper than their record suggests. They should start really flexing their muscle against Carolina, a team that doesn’t come across that has much to offer either offensively. Arizona has enough weapons on its offense to bend and break Carolina’s defense. Kyler Murray just passed for over 300 yards in the Rams game, while wide receiver Marquise Brown caught 14 passes for 140 receiving yards.
The Cardinals are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight October games. Moreover, the Under is 6-1 in Arizona’s last seven outings after a loss.
Betting on the Carolina Panthers (-1.0)
Regular Season Record: 1-2
The Cardinals may have terrific weapons on offense, but Carolina’s defense might be sturdy enough to handle it. Against the Saints, Carolina intercepted Jameis Winston two times and sacked him once. The Panthers also forced Saints running back Alvin Kamara to lose a fumble. As for their own offense, the Panthers can add more to the plate of talented running back Christian McCaffrey, who had 108 rushing yards on 25 carries against the Saints but only had two catches for seven yards.
The Panthers are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games in Week 4. The Over is 7-2 in Carolina’s last nine Week 4 games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cardinals win, 30-17.
