The Baylor Bears have yet to suffer a loss this season, and they don’t have any plans of giving up their unbeaten streak when they hook up with the Texas Tech Raiders this week. But the Red Raiders have just scored a huge win over a March Madness top-seed contender and should be feeling good about their chances of taking down the Bears.

Betting on the Baylor Bears (odds)
Record: 11-0 Overall / 4-0 Conference
Baylor notched its 11th win of the season last Saturday by defeating the TCU Horned Frogs on the road, 67-49. The Bears didn’t even shoot well in that game and yet convincingly won. They went just 25 of 55 from the field and 6 of 19 from deep. It just shows how reliable Baylor’s defense is. Baylor held the Horned Frogs down to only 33.3 percent shooting from the floor. That has been a norm this season for Baylor opponents. The Bears are 13th in the nation with just 61.2 points allowed per game while limiting opponents to only 40.9 field goal shooting percentage. Per KenPom, Baylor has the third-best defense and fourth-best offense. Jared Butler ad 28 points against TCU and he’ll once again lead the Bears’ three-headed guard attack that also features MaCio Teague and Davion Mitchell. Baylor also figures to be a team with a deeper bench and more experience overall than Texas Tech.
Baylor is 9-2 against the spread this season.
Betting on the Texas Tech Red Raiders (odds)
Record: 10-3 Overall / 3-2 Conference
Mac McClung gave Texas Tech its biggest win of the season, thus far. The former Georgetown Hoyas guard drilled the game-winning jumper Wednesday night to lift the Red Raiders past the No. 4 Texas Longhorns in Austin, 79-77. McClung finished with 22 points and five assists in 36 minutes, and he’s surely pumped up for the next game against another elite team in the form of the Bears. The Red Raiders have now covered the spread in their last two games overall and have extended their streak of OVER games to five. Texas Tech is another defense-driven Big 12 team just Baylor. The Red Raiders are allowing just 89.0 points per 100 possessions, which is the sixth-best in the nation. They are also giving up only 59.4 points per game, also No. 6 overall nationally.
Texas Tech, which limits opposing teams to only 52.1 field goal attempts per game, is 5-2 against the spread in its last seven meetings with Baylor at home.
Writer’s Prediction
Baylor wins, 70-67.
