Boston Celtics vs. Orlando Magic (7:00 PM ET)

Line: Boston Celtics (-4.5) vs. Orlando Magic (+4.5); total: 197.5 – view all NBA lines

After opening a long, five-game road trip with a victory in Philadelphia, the Celtics lost a heartbreaker in Houston on Monday night, 107-106. Al Horford embarrassingly blew an easy layup just before the final buzzer, which could have won the game for Boston. Now the C’s seek to rebound and receive another big-time output from Isaiah Thomas, who tied a season-high 37 points in the losing effort against the Rockets, when they battle the Magic for the first time this season. Orlando’s won its last three games overall (3-0 ATS), but has lost its past three home games (0-3 ATS) and two of its previous three meetings (1-2 ATS) with the Celtics.

Writer’s Prediction

Boston (-4.5) wins and covers.

Creighton Bluejays vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (9:00 PM ET)

Line: Creighton Bluejays (-5) vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (+5) – view all NCAAB lines

No. 10 Creighton is off to its best start (8-0) in 13 years, which is mainly thanks to a loaded offense that’s headlined by one of the nation’s top backcourt tandems in Kansas State transfer Marcus Foster (team-high 19.4 PPG) and senior Maurice Watson Jr. (12.0 PPG, 9.0 APG). But in any case, the Blue jays can’t take Nebraska lightly, even if they’ve won 15 of the last 20 meetings (15-5 ATS) of this yearly rivalry. The Cornhuskers have been playing with a lot of confidence this season, and are coming off a wire-to-wire win over South Dakota on Saturday, 73-61. They’re also 5-1 SU at home thus far.

Writer’s Prediction

Creighton (-5) wins and covers.
