The Buffalo Bills appear to be headed to the playoffs, but they can’t feel safe just yet, so they will have to go down to work and seriously prepare for an upcoming meeting with the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners got a shot in the arm with an upset win in Week 12. Can they go back to back?

Regular Season Record: 8-3
The Bills got their mojos back. After losing to the Arizona Cardinals on a Hail Mary in Week 10, the 49ers got through a bye and defeated the Los Angeles Chargers at home, 27-17. Josh Allen went 18 of 24 for 157 passing yards and a touchdown with an interception. He also rushed for a touchdown. Devin Singletary led the backfield with 82 rushing yards on 11 carries. Buffalo’s offense remains good. It is averaging 27.2 points and 372.5 total yards per game. With a dual-threat quarterback in Allen and capable receivers plus a solid duo in the backfield in Singletary and Zack Moss, the Bills are unsurprisingly second in the NFL in third-down conversion and tops in fourth-down conversions. The 49ers can beat good teams even when they’re not healthy, but Buffalo has answers on both sides of the field to keep San Francisco from scoring another upset win.
The over is 4-1 in the Bills’ last four road games.
Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (+1)
Regular Season Record: 5-6
In San Francisco’s 23-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams on the road last Sunday, the 49ers proved they can rattle teams even though they are banged up and missing plenty of bodies to injuries. Raheem Mostert and Deebo Samuel have also made their way back to action after missing time, and both put up quality performances against the Rams. Mostert had 43 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, while Samuel caught 11 passes for 133 receiving yards. Their return is big for San Francisco, who doesn’t seem to have any plans of tanking its remaining games. Those looking to bet on the 49ers could be encouraged by the fact that the Bills are winless in four Monday Night Football games since 2015. Over that stretch, Buffalo has also gone just 1-6 straight up and 1-5-1 against the spread.
As for the 49ers, the total has hit the under in their last two games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Bills win, 30-24.
