The Cincinnati Bengals are a medium-ranged underdog here in Week 10. They are just 0-3 straight up and 1-2 against the spread (ATS) so far this season, when listed as the underdog. However, the Tennessee Titans aren’t that reliable as a favorite, having gone 6-8-2 against the spread in their last 14 games. That being said, the Titans do tend to win outright when listed as a favorite, winning 11 of the last 16 games as the chalk. It’s also worth noting that Tennessee has covered just three times in their last 17 games against teams with losing records.

Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (3-5)
The Bengals are one of the worst offensive teams in the NFL. Last in yards and 28th in points. There is talent there but it is not fitting together. QB Andy Dalton is not having a great season but he has not been terrible. They Bengals were certainly very interested in trading their backup too so they can’t be viewing him as the problem.
The real challenge is developing any sort of running game. They were supposed to have a three headed monster at RB and none have found their footing. That could mean the offensive line is the real problem. Evaluating lines is really technical though so I am not going to say they are bad though the numbers speak for themselves.
The way they are scoring is going to make it very tough for them against a lot of teams. The defense is 6th in yards allowed and giving up less than 20ppg. This could easily evolve into a situation of frustration for this group as the season progresses. I know he rubs everyone the wrong way but I am a Vontaze Burfict guy, defenses, at least good ones are supposed to have some edge and he provides that.
There is really good talent at each level. Though the secondary could help the team out by taking the ball away a little more. Pac Man has no picks this season.
Betting on the Tennessee Titans (5-3)
Tennessee has won three in a row but they have not exactly been gems, They squeaked out a win at Cleveland a couple of weeks ago and hung on against Baltimore last week. This team is supposed to be all about running the ball but they are not doing it very well. I thought they would want Mariota to drop back like 15 times if they had their ways.
I like Derrick Henry a lot. It is not that Demarco Murray isn’t good but Henry is mean out there. I am not sure it helps the team to have them split carries. They were hoping to get more from speedy rookie Corey Davis. His injuries have made it hard for them to stretch the field.
The Titans numbers on defense aren’t good. Despite the 5-3 record they are giving up more than they are scoring. Jurrell Casey continues to be not much more than a plugger, he used to be elite. Kevin Byard has been absolutely awesome the last two games with 5 total interceptions. Pretty good considering the second year player had none as a rookie. Can they really count on that though?
Writer’s Prediction:
I am not expecting a ton of fireworks in this one but the visitors will be able to keep it close. Both teams will want to run in this one so the first half will be about establishing that part of the game. The second half will be about avoiding mistakes. In a close contest they will be the difference. Tennessee plays it close to the best to get the victory. Pick: Titans (-4.5)
