Norwich City slipped further into danger with a 1-0 loss to Swansea City on Saturday. It was a costly defeat for the Canaries who remained in the dreaded relegation zone and are without a win in 10 matches in all competitions.

It won’t get any easier for manager Alex Neil and the rest of the Canaries as standing in their way in their next match are Manchester City. The Canaries have lost eight of their 12 matches against the Citizens dating back to 2001. They lost 2-1 to Manchester City in their first meeting this season with Yaya Toure scoring the game-winning penalty.

For the Canaries to record a major shock this coming Saturday, they will need to improve on their porous defense. Norwich City are second-worst in the Premier League in scoring defense, shipping a whopping 54 goals this campaign. That kind of defensive performance simply won’t do against a Manchester City attack that has already netted 52 goals this season, the highest mark in England’s top division.

That being said, the Canaries will take comfort in the fact that the Citizens have struggled mightily on the road of late. The Citizens have won just twice in their last 10 road matches, scoring a measly seven goals during that span. That includes multi-goal defeats at the Britannia Stadium, White Hart Lane and Anfield to go along with scoreless draws at Old Trafford, Villa Park and King Power Stadium.

The Citizens are 2-2-2 in their last six Premier League away matches.

Norwich vs Man City Predictions, Picks and Odds – March 2016

Manchester City finally snapped their three-game losing skid in the league with a 4-0 thrashing of Aston Villa on Saturday. Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling scored the winning goals for the Citizens who remained 10 points adrift of leaders Leicester City in the race for the Premier League title.

The Citizens will look to slice that deficit even further when they face Norwich City this coming Saturday. Manchester City will fancy their chances of doing just that as they have fared extremely well against Norwich City on the road of late. The Citizens are unbeaten in their last seven matches (3-4-0) across all competitions at Carrow Road since a 2-1 defeat in 1993.

Expected to lead Manchester City’s charge this weekend is Sergio Aguero. He scored twice in the all-important win against Aston Villa. Aguero has now scored 15 goals in his last 14 league matches. The Argentine is only two goals shy of tying Frank Roberts for 10th on City’s all-time scoring list with 130.

He will be licking his chops at the prospect of facing a Norwich City defense that has struggled mightily at home this season. The Canaries have conceded a whopping 22 goals at Carrow Road this campaign, second-highest in the Premier League this season. Aguero has scored six goals in six matches against Norwich City.

The Canaries are 2-1-3 in their last six Premier League home matches.

Writer’s Prediction
