The NC State Wolfpack are in need of quality wins in order for them to boost their dimming chances for an at-large berth to March Madness. A win over the Florida State Seminoles can certainly favor the Wolfpack who will also have one more game against the Duke Blue Devils down the road after this date with the Noles. The Seminoles and the Wolfpack are +2100 and +15000 to win the national title, respectively.

Betting on the Florida State Seminoles (21-4 Overall / 11-3 Conference)
After the Seminoles faltered in a 70-65 road loss to the Duke Blue Devils in Durham last week, Florida State picked up the pieces and rebounded by scoring an 80-77 victory over the Syracuse Orange at home last Saturday. The Noles beat Syracuse even though they did not play with leading scorer Devin Vassell. It was not revealed why Vassell did not see action in the Syracuse game, but he was on the bench and seemingly available to play. His availability for the NC State game should be clear based on whether he’ll return to action or not when the Seminoles take on the Pittsburgh Panthers at home this Tuesday. Vassell leads Florida State with 13.4 points per game. If he will miss the NC State matchup, the Noles will still have the pair of Trent Forrest and MJ Walker to lead the team. Florida State’s bench is also ready to fill in. After all, the Seminoles have the 25th best bench in terms of minutes percentage.
The Seminoles are 4-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last six games on the road.
Betting on the NC State Wolfpack (16-9 Overall / 7-7 Conference)
The Wolfpack know they have work to do to make it to the national tournament via the at-large route. Especially since they lost to Boston College Eagles on the road last Sunday, 71-68. Prior to that, the Wolfpack were building momentum off of a two-game win streak over the Miami Hurricanes and the Orange — both on the road. NC State shot horribly from the outside against Boston College, going just 2 of 19 on their 3-point attempts and just 43.5 percent on their field-goal tries. The Wolfpack’s sense of urgency is on a high these days, so expect them to try and make the wisest decisions on every play going forward. While there’s no guarantee that they’ll do just that, they truly need to cut down on their errors. They had 16 turnovers in the loss to Boston College, though, they are averaging just 12.0 per game on the season.
The Wolfpack are 3-1 ATS in their last four games at home against the Seminoles, dating back to 2013.
Writer’s Prediction
NC State wins, 74-72.
