The Seminoles made it rain and scored anyway they liked in an easy 93-64 home win over the Boston College Eagles last Wednesday. It was such a dominant performance for the Seminoles that they covered the massive spread of 18.5 as home favorites. A tougher challenge lies ahead of Florida State this Saturday against Notre Dame, but the Seminoles should still be able to take care of business against another team that’s unlikely to make the Big Dance. The Seminoles shot 55.6 percent from the field against Boston College and hit 13 of 27 attempts from long range. The Seminoles own the best offense in the ACC, one that is averaging 81.1 points per game in conference play on 49.6 percent accuracy. Their 3-point shooting is always a threat, as they are eighth in the nation with a 39.3 3-point shooting percentage. The Seminoles are averaging 79.9 points per game this season.

Notre Dame will enter its last game of the regular season hoping to stop a four-game losing streak. In their last game, the Fighting Irish fell prey to the NC State Wolfpack, 80-69, at home and even lost to Boston College on the road prior to that, 94-90. But Notre Dame shouldn’t be entirely dismissed as just another sacrificial lamb to the rampaging Seminoles. For one, the Fighting Irish have two Quadrant 1 wins. They defeated the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington back in December and the Duke Blue Devils in Chapel Hill last February. Notre Dame is a constant threat inside the arc, as the team is first in ACC play with a 55.3 field goal percentage on two-point shots. The Fighting Irish also don’t turn the ball over a lot, averaging just 10.3 TOs per contest – the 10th-best mark in the nation, so far this season.
Notre Dame is 3-1 against the spread in its last four home games against Florida State.
