NBA News & Predictions

Betting on the Golden State Warriors (55-14)

Point Spread: -2

With Kevin Durant out of the picture as of now with an injury, Stephen Curry has chosen the right time to start playing like an MVP again. Curry has been on a tear lately, averaging 27.3 points with 13 three-pointers over the last three games.

Curry was sensational in the Warriors’ 117-92 win over Milwaukee on Saturday, as he dropped 28 points on the Bucks, going 6-for-8 from beyond the arc. Along with Curry, Klay Thompson and his production is going to be needed to offset Durant’s absence. Curry and Thompson each had 26 points in the Warriors’ 130-114 win in Oklahoma City on Feb. 11.  The Warriors have always found it easy to score buckets against OKC’s seemingly loose defense. In three meetings with the Thunder so far this season, Golden State has gone 3-0 SU and ATS while averaging 124.3 points

The Warriors appear to learn how to function like a championship contender without Durant, as the team has averaged 106.4 points on 46.7% shooting over the last five games. They are 5-0 SU during that stretch.

Betting on the Oklahoma City Thunder (40-29)

Point Spread: +2

With or without Kevin Durant on the other team, the Thunder could count on Russell Westbrook going 100% all the time. Westbrook and the Thunder will aim to beat the Warriors again after being unsuccessful in the first three tries this season.

Oklahoma City has momentum heading into tonight’s showdown with the Warriors. The Thunder extended their win streak to five games after taking down Sacramento at home on Saturday, 110-94, with Westbrook stuffing the stat sheet like he always does, scoring 28 points with 10 assists and eight rebounds. The one-man show Westbrook has averaged 31.3 points, 10.3 assists, and 10.7 rebounds in three contests against the Warriors this season.

Westbrook could get offensive support from Victor Oladipo and Doug McDermott. Oladipo is averaging 19 points on 50% shooting in the last five games. McDermott, on the other hand, is coming off a 21-point outburst in the win over Sacramento.
