The Cleveland Browns are 2-2-1 heading into Week 6 of the season. Again, the Browns have two wins already. That’s not a typo. That’s just how good the Browns have become since last year’s embarrassing 0-16 campaign. Can they get their third win of the season this Sunday when they host the Los Angeles Chargers? Or will the Chargers foil the hosts?
The Browns are +850 to win the AFC North, while the Chargers are +525 to rule the AFC West.

Betting on the Los Angeles Chargers (3-2)
The Chargers showed it can also win through defense last week, when they took down the Oakland Raiders at home, 26-10. The Chargers choked out Oakland’s run game in particular, allowing just 41 rushing yards to Marshawn Lynch and company. They also sacked Raiders quarterback three times for a loss of 20 yards. They have a young quarterback to deal with this Sunday in the form of Baker Mayfield, who maybe looking like an answered prayer for the Browns but is still a rookie the last time we checked. On the other end of the ball, the Chargers got 339 passing yards and two touchdowns without an interception from Philip Rivers, who’s been doing a fine job orchestrating Los Angeles’ offense that is top 10 in the league in scoring offense (27.4) and total offense (405.2) per game.
The under is 6-2 in the Chargers’ last eight road games. They are also 5-3 ATS over that same span,
Betting on the Cleveland Browns (2-2-1)
Whatever world you’re living in last year, it’s not the same with the one you’re in this time around, as evidenced by the fact that the Browns now have two wins through five games of an NFL season. For real. The Browns are coming off a re-energizing 12-9 overtime win at home over the Baltimore Ravens. Having kept in step with the likes of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints earlier in the season and beating a contender like the Ravens, the Browns must be feeling good of their chances on defeating any team they’ll face moving forward. The Browns’ defense, which got tattered in the loss to Oakland, woke up and played to its potential against the Ravens, not allowing Baltimore to score a touchdown. The Browns are 12th in the league with 22.6 points per game and are third with eight interceptions.
Cleveland is 3-0 ATS in its last three home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Cleveland wins, 23-21.
