Regular Season Record: 8-4
The Rams recovered from a three-game losing skid, including from their Week 12 road loss to the Green Bay Packers, as they demolished the Jacksonville Jaguars at home last Sunday, 37-7. The win over the Jags was not at all surprising, but it still gave the Rams momentum heading into LA’s rematch against the Cardinals. The Rams lost to Arizona at home in Week 4 to the tune of a 37-20 score. Matthew Stafford tossed two touchdowns but had a pick to go with 280 passing yards on 26/41 completions in that game. This time, the Rams hope that their defense steps up and shows its full potential, especially with Von Miller in the fold. The Rams had three sacks in the first meeting with Arizona but struggled to contain the Cards’ run game.
The Los Angeles Rams, who are 25-12-1 against the spread in their last 38 games against NFC teams.
Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (-1.5)
Regular Season Record: 10-2
Kyler Murray made sure everyone knew that he’s returned to action in Week 13 after being absent due to an ankle injury. Murray passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more in the Cardinals’ 33-22 home win over the Chicago Bears last Sunday. Murray looked great in that contest, and that doesn’t bode well for the Rams’ defense. The former Oklahoma Sooners star torched the Rams in Week 4, passing for 268 yards and two touchdowns and zero interceptions on 23/32 completions. Chase Edmonds rushed for 120 yards on 12 carries in that contest, and he could also be making a return in Week 14 after a long absence. If he can’t go again, the Cardinals feel confident in James Conner, who’s just been a touchdown factory this season. Conner had two touchdowns on the ground in the Rams game.
The Cardinals are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Rams win, 28-24.
