Betting on the Miami Dolphins (+3)

Regular Season Record: 7-7

The Dolphins can’t stop winning. They are now on a six-game win streak after defeating the lowly New York Jets at home in Week 15, 31-24. Sure, it’s just a victory against the Jets, but the momentum is at an all-time high for Miami, which had also defeated the Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 10. Running back Duke Johnson took off for 107 rushing yards and a couple of rushing scores on 22 carries against the Jets, while quarterback Tua Tagovailoa passed for 196 yards and two touchdowns with a pair of interceptions on 16/27 completions. Miami’s defense sacked Jets quarterback Zach Wilson six times. Miami’s pass defense has been stingy this season, allowing opponents to connect on only 60.74% of their passes.

The Dolphins are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

Bet on the Miami Dolphins

Betting on the New Orleans Saints (-3)

Regular Season Record: 7-7

The Saints are indeed the patron Saints of people who love seeing Tom Brady lose. New Orleans defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday on the road, 9-0, for the Saints’ second win in a row. Prior to that, the Saints also downed the Jets on the road in Week 14, 30-9. Holding the Bucs scoreless was a huge accomplishment for the Saints and says a lot about how tough New Orleans’ defense really is. On the season, the Saints are allowing just 20.4 points per game and 336.9 total yards per contest. Scoring touchdowns in the red zone is particularly difficult against the Saints, with teams having that kind of success just 43.59% of the time. With Taysom Hill under center and a healthy Alvin Kamara, look for the Saints to be a run-heavy team against the Dolphins. Then again, Marquez Callaway had just 112 receiving yards on six catches against Tampa Bay.

The Saints are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring fewer than 15 points in their last outing.
