The Seminoles dominate the so-called rivalry with the Miami Hurricanes. They’ve claimed victory in the last seven games, going 4-3 against the spread. However, Miami is now poised to end the drought, currently undefeated in Week 6 of the NCAAF season. For this reason, ALL eyes are on this game. The anticipation has been built further as the final chance at redemption (for Miami) was postponed due to Hurricane Irma. It is only apt that the aptly named Hurricanes step up to claim their first victory in seven years over the Seminoles this Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee.

Betting on the Miami Hurricanes 3-0 (-3.5)
Miami is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS this season. They dismissed Duke last week in an impressive 31-6 victory. Miami grabbed an early 14-0 lead, adding insult to injury by tacking on the two more scores as they easily covered as six-point favorites on the road.
Miami outgained the Duke 409-349, with QB Malik Rosier throwing a pair for TDs in addition to converting two Duke turnovers into a total of 10 points. On the defensive end, the Hurricanes held the Blue Devils to a 6-for-22 performance on third and fourth downs, which included two fourth-down stops inside Hurricane territory.
While critics are quick to cite that the Hurricanes haven’t played the toughest part of their schedule thus far, they have outgained all three opponents by an average of 135 yards. Looks like they may be extending that undefeated streak this season, while breaking a seven-year losing streak in the process.
Betting on the Florida State Seminoles 1-2 (+3.5)
The Seminoles picked up their first victory of the season with a 26-19 win at Wake Forest. But it wasn’t a confident victory, as the game went back and forth from start to finish. Sure, in the end, freshman quarterback James Blackman (filling in for Francois) connected with Auden Tate on a 40-yard TD strike with just under a minute to go, but depending upon a Hail Mary (full of grace) to win doesn’t exactly instill confidence going into Week 6.
Florida State outgained the Deacons 149-96 with a 35/25 time-of-possession advantage.
Writer’s Prediction
The Hurricanes will end the seven year glitch and will cover the NCAAF point spread.
