It’s been a pretty wild ride in the NFL so far. After back-to-back trips to the Super Bowl, last season’s runners-up in the Seattle Seahawks have struggled to gain some steam with their third loss in five games last Sunday. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals are still perfect, making Andy Dalton look like he deserved his big fat paycheck in the offseason. And the defending champs in the New England Patriots are playing some angry football right now, putting up blowouts after blowouts.
Alas, all streaks have to end. Undefeated teams will eventually find their match, while struggling teams manage for some timely upsets. Are some of those unheralded squads due for a solid win this week? Read on as the experts sound off on their Week 6 NFL picks.

All four of CBS Sports’ hottest experts are in unison on only four games in Week 6. Pete Prisco, Jason La Canfora, Ryan Wilson and Dave Richard all picked the Vikings, Cardinals, Seahawks and 49ers to cover the spread in their respective games.
[sc:NFL240banner ]The Vikings have the benefit of welcoming a demoralized Kansas City Chiefs to TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs lost the lifeblood of their offense in running back Jamaal Charles. On the other hand, the Vikings have a very solid running back to lead their offense in Adrian Peterson. After missing all but one game last season due to domestic abuse allegations, Peterson has rushed for over five yards per carry the past two games while scoring three rushing touchdowns.
Arizona’s offense has been on fire this season, leading the league with 38 points per game. Quarterback Carson Palmer has been lighting up opposing secondaries with 256.2 yards passing per game and 13 total touchdowns this season. Meanwhile, running back Chris Johnson has seemingly turned back the clock, rushing for 103 yards on just 11 carries in Week 5. While the Steelers have Le’Veon Bell to shoulder the load in the backfield, quarterback Mike Vick can’t compare to Palmer’s strong arm.
The Seattle Seahawks haven’t been their usual selves recently. They’re 2-3, and probably 1-4 if the right call was made in the 13-10 victory over the Lions in Week 4. Key offseason acquisition Jimmy Graham has been listless, failing to top even 30 yards in the past two games. On the other hand, the Carolina Panthers are undefeated at 4-0, and are coming off a bye week. However, the Panthers are 0-3 SU and 0-2-1 ATS in their last three trips to CenturyLink Field. They’re also 0-5 ATS in their last five games after a bye.
The 49ers have been beaten up quite a bit this season, but started to show some life in a Monday Night Football loss to the New York Giants. San Francisco took a 27-23 lead with 1:45 remaining in regulation, but the Giants orchestrated a masterful game-clinching drive to seal a 30-27 victory. Colin Kaepernick was solid for once, throwing for 262 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers, while Carlos Hyde ran for 93 yards and a score on 21 carries.
Baltimore’s Joe Flacco could have a big game through the air against the 49ers’ pass defense, which allowed over 400 yards to Eli Manning on Sunday night. The Ravens could also to choose to pound the ball on the ground with a resurgent Justin Forsett. Forsett had his second 100-yard game against the Browns last week and is up against a San Francisco rushing defense that has allowed 4.04 yards per carry, 19th in the league.

Chris Roling is looking at the undefeated teams to continue rolling this week. He’s tabbed the Falcons, Broncos, Panthers, Packers, and Patriots to continue their winning ways. But with only the Broncos, Panthers and Patriots covering the spread.
Peyton Manning’s arm looks weak. He failed to throw for a touchdown against the Oakland Raiders last week, and instead threw two bad interceptions. But Manning should still be able to carve out a Cleveland defense that has allowed at least 30 points in three games this season. Denver’s imposing front seven should also be able to have its way against Cleveland, according to Roling. The Browns have already allowed a whopping 18 sacks this season.
Roling also noted that Seattle’s defense looks like a shell of its former self, having given up big lead after big lead this season. Russell Wilson isn’t also getting the protection he needs from Seattle’s offensive line, taking 22 sacks this year.
Here comes Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Fresh off a bye week, Newton has looked solid this year, throwing for nine touchdowns and just two interceptions. He should be able to navigate through Seattle’s recently questionable defense en route for an upset.
New England has looked unstoppable this season, posting 30-6 and 51-17 victories in hits last two outings. The defending Super Bowl champions are now set to face a struggling Indianapolis team that they already hammered 42-20 in the 2014 regular season and 45-7 in last year’s AFC Championship Game. For Roling, getting the Patriots at -8 is a no-brainer given their history of success against the Colts.
