Everything is possible for the Green Bay Packers so long as they have Aaron Rodgers under center. That doesn’t mean they’re invincible, though. They are only 2-2-1 and have plenty of work left to do in order for them to truly look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers appear to be on survival mode, thanks to a flurry of injuries to their players.
The 49ers are +10,000 to win the NFC West, while the Packers are +250 to top the NFC North.

Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (1-4)
Not much is expected anymore of the 49ers. After all, they’ve already lost for the rest of the season starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. That said, they still should’ve done better in their 28-18 loss to the Arizona Cardinals at home last week. However, the 49ers are dealing with more than just an injured body. The likes of offensive linemen Joe Staley, Weston Richburg and Mike Person are all hurt. Wide receivers Pierre Garcon, Trent Taylor, and Dante Pettis are nursing injuries. Tight end George Kittle and running back Matt Breida also did not practice on Thursday. Breida, however, is reportedly walking without a limp, so that’s good news for the 49ers who need as many hands on deck against the Packers. If Niners fans need some source of optimism, they could find one on the fact that their team is 9-0 SU in its last nine Monday Night Football games.
The over is 7-1 SU in the Niners’ last eight games.
Betting on the Green Bay Packers (2-2-1)
It’s not just the 49ers who are going to enter Monday Night Football’s game with a banged-up roster. The Packers are also dealing with injuries to their starters. Wide receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison are both considered questionable for the date with San Francisco, as both are nursing hamstring ailments. However, the two are able to practice on Thursday, a good sign for their availability next Monday. In any case, the Packers should start giving the ball more to running back Aaron Jones, who only had seven carries in last week’s 31-23 road loss to the Detroit Lions. Despite his limited touches, Jones was able to rack up 40 rushing yards. He also had two receptions for 19 receiving yards. If the Packers could unleash Jones, Aaron Rodgers’ job under center will be a whole lot easier and could even open up more passing opportunities for the Packers’ offense that has yet to score 30 points this season.
The Packers are 2-0 ATS in their last two home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Green Bay wins, 31-23.
