Betting on Chelsea (-178)

Chelsea will put on the line their perfect record in EPL play this Sunday, when they face off with Swansea City.

Manager Antonio Conte’s club beat Burnley 3-0 in their last outing. That was after Chelsea sent Watford and West Ham to the loss column with back-to-back wins to begin the season. There is seemingly no problem on offense for Chelsea as evidenced by their total goals count, but the backside obviously has a lot of room for improvement.

The blanking of Burnley, however, provides a good omen for a better showing next time by Chelsea’s defense. Chelsea also got a shot in the arm on defense after they signed Marco Alonso and David Luiz during the transfer deadline.

On offense, Chelsea have Diego Costa, who’s coming in hot after netting two goals for Spain versus Lichtenstein during the international break. Chelsea enters Sunday’s contest having won five of the last six meetings with Swansea City.

Betting on Swansea City (+400)

Swansea City look to recover from consecutive losses to Leicester (2-1) and Hull (0-2), as they welcome the surging Chelsea at Liberty Stadium.

The Jacks are clearly looking to bore holes on a porous Chelsea defense that has yet to prove itself as a dependable and consistent unit. Swansea City, however, is unlikely to get striker Borja Baston back on the pitch, as the Spaniard is still recovering from a thigh injury that has kept him sidelined.

While Chelsea have the edge in the head-to-head series of late as mentioned earlier, it’s the Jacks who won in the recent meeting. That was back in April, when Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the lone goal in Swansea City’s 1-0 win over the Blues.

Writer’s Prediction

Swansea City (+400) wins, 2-1.
