Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New York Giants Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview | NFL Week 8 – November 2, 2020

Maybe the secret behind Tom Brady’s ageless play is that he drinks the blood of his victims on the field? Sorry, the Halloween season got the best of us on that one. Regardless, Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to add more to their wins this coming weekend when they barge into the home of the New York Giants. The Giants have been tough to watch, but can they at least be competitive in this game?

Betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10.5)

Regular Season Record: 5-2

Tom Brady continues to defy Father Time, as he is doing a fantastic job of late under center for the surging Bucs. Brady passed for 369 yards and four touchdowns without a turnover on 33-of-45 completions in the Bucs’ 45-20 road win over the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday. Before that, Brady had 166 passing yards and two touchdowns and zero interceptions on 17-of-27 completions in a 38-10 home win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 6. Brady, 43, has 15 passing touchdowns against just an interception over the Bucs’ last five games. With a loaded set of weapons downfield, Brady can torch the Giants’ defense that is just ranked 19th overall in DVOA, as of Week 7. Even though the Bucs are going to miss Chris Godwin in Week 8 due to a fractured finger, they still have Mike Evans, Scottie Miller, and Rob Gronkowski as Brady’s primary targets. As for their own defense, the Bucs should be able to handle the Giants’ attack that is far from being a threat to Tampa Bay’s stop unit that is tops in DVOA and third in the league with just 291.3 total yards allowed per game.

The Bucs are 4-2 in the Bucs’ last six games overall.

Betting on the New York Giants (+10.5)

Regular Season Record: 1-6

The Giants are horrible. In their last game, they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on the road, 22-21, during Week 7’s Thursday Night Football. The most memorable moment from that game was Daniel Jones stumbling on his own during what was supposed to be a huge touchdown run off a play-action call, thus encapsulating the Giants’ season so far in just one play. Jones finished that game with 187 passing yards and two touchdowns and an interception on 20-of-30 completions. He also led his team with 92 rushing yards on four carries, with most of those yards coming from that doomed rush. As bad as the Giants are, especially on offense, their defense is a bit more respectable and should provide some resistance to Tom Brady and company. The Giants are 14th in the league with 24.9 points allowed per game and also 14th with 356.3 total yards surrendered per contest. In addition, the Giants have 18 sacks on the season. If anything, the Giants will enter Sunday’s game against the Bucs with fresher legs due to a longer rest.

The over is 5-2 in the Giants’ last seven games as the home team.

Bet on the NY Giants
