The Tennessee Titans are hoping they can still make the playoffs. But first, they will have to pass the test of the Houston Texans on the road in Week 17. The Texans are headed to the playoffs regardless of what happens in Week 17, but they also want to end the regular season with a momentum-boosting victory.

Betting on the Tennessee Titans (10-5)
The Titans git beat up by the New Orleans Saints at home last Sunday, 38-28. It’s not easy keeping up with New Orleans in a high-scoring affair as what Tennessee found out first-hand, but it was still encouraging for the Titans to see Ryan Tannehill playing well. Tannehill went 17 for 27 for 272 passing yards and three touchdowns without an interception against the Saints. Tannehill had a bit of trouble in the 24-21 home loss to the Texans a couple of weeks ago, but it was still a solid effort, completing 22 of 36 passes for 279 passing yards and two touchdowns with an interception. The Titans probably could have upset New Orleans if only they had running back Derrick Henry in that game. Henry did not suit up in Week 16 to rest a hamstring issue, but he seems to be ready to go in the second showdown against the Texans. Henry rushed 21 times and finished with 86 rushing yards in the loss to Houston.
The Titans, who are 10th in the NFL with 24.5 points per game, are 6-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 outings.
Betting on the Houston Texans (8-7)
The Texans are assured of a playoff spot, which could mean that they will rest some of their key players or give them limited snaps in this coming Sunday’s meeting with the Titans. Among them is quarterback Deshaun Watson, who went 19 for 32 for 184 passing yards with zero touchdowns and an interception in Week 16’s 23-20 road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the event that the Texans rule out Watson for Week 17, they will have to start AJ McCarron, who’s only appeared in one game so far this season with just a single passing attempt. Should Watson sit and McCarron start, expect the Texans to go run-heavy. In the win over the Titans, Texans running back Carlos Hyde went off for 104 rushing yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. The Texans also need better pass protection after letting Watson get sacked five times in the win over Tampa Bay.
The Texans are 11th in the league with 24.3 points per game. The under is 2-0 in their last two games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Titans win, 28-22.
