The Tennessee Titans were a surprise last season, as they reached the divisional round of the playoffs after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Wild Card game. Under a new pair of head coach and offensive coordinator, will the Titans pick up on their 2017 success and win their first win of the 2018 season? The Dolphins, meanwhile, are parading their franchise quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who returns after a lengthy absence.

Betting on the Tennessee Titans (-1.5)
The Titans went winless in the preseason, but then again, that’s the preseason. Tennessee has a new head coach and offensive coordinator in Mike Vrabel and Matt LaFleur, respectively, and it’s the latter that has been making waves in the offseason. LaFleur has been known to have magic touch on offense, having helped the Atlanta Falcons during the team’s Super Bowl run two years ago and engineered the Los Angeles Rams’ high-octane offense a year ago.
Now in Tennessee, he will have Marcus Mariota to direct. Unlike Matt Ryan and Jared Goff, Mariota is a dual threat QB, so LaFleur can be even more creative in his schemes.
In the backfield, Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis will share the duties, with DeMarco Murray deciding in the summer that it’s time to hang up his cleats for good.
The defense will be a point of emphasis more today than in previous years in Tennessee, as Vrabel comes from a defensive background. Last season, the Titans allowed 22,9 points and 333.9 total yards per game.
The Titans are 3-2 ATS in their last games away from Tennessee.
Betting on the Miami Dolphins (+1.5)
After surviving a year with Jay Cutler under center, the Dolphins are going back with Ryan Tannehill, who returns from a devastating knee injury that led the team to the whole Cutler ordeal.
Tannehill comes back to find a receiving corps that is now missing Jarvis Landry, who paced the team in receiving yards and touchdowns a year ago. Nevertheless, the team still have Kenny Stills along with newcomers Albert Wilson and Danny Amendola, so finding men downfield to distribute targets shouldn’t be that difficult of a task for Tannehill even without Landry. Tannehill will look to burn the Titans’ defense that allowed the 28th-most passing yards per game last season.
As for their own stop unit, the Dolphins hope that they will get better on that front after ranking 29th in scoring defense and 16th in total defense a year ago. Miami was always going to be underwhelming on defense in 2017 since they started eight rookies. But those rookies now comes with a deeper understanding of the game and with a greater sense of maturity, which should translate into a better general performance on the field.
The Dolphins went 5-9-2 ATS in 2017.
