Week 6 of the NFL will begin with a classic NFC match-up on Thursday night. The winless New York Giants will try to turn their season around when they travel to the Windy City to face the Chicago Bears, who are looking to rebound from a two-game setback.
Betting on the New York Giants:
It has been a brutal season for the New York Giants. And that’s stating the obvious.
At 0-5, Big Blue has been by far the biggest disappointment in 2013. They were expected to be contenders in the NFC, but have since falter in every aspect of the game.
Eli Manning is having his worst year, their running backs have fumbled the ball many times, their offensive line can’t block well, their receivers have been inconsistent, and the once-vaunted defensive line is giving up the most points this season.
The one optimism for the Giants despite the bad has been Victor Cruz. His 473 total receiving yards this season serves as a saving grace for their progress.
Fortunately, they don’t have to wait for a week to get back. They travel to Chicago to face a struggling team as well. And so far, in their trips to the Windy City, the Giants are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games when playing at Soldier Field.
Will Thursday night finally be the time for Eli Manning and the NY Giants to turn their season around?

Betting on the Chicago Bears:
It’s been a tough two weeks for the Chicago Bears. After going 3-0, the Bears have lost two straight games and looked lost during the losses.
They have abandoned their patented defense for a revamped offense and it has worked for them in the first three games. Jay Cutler has 10 touchdown passes; the team is 8th in total yards and passing yards. Yet on defense, they are 23rd in points allowed and 27th in passing-yards allowed.
Alshon Jeffery putting together a career day for the Bears, going for 10 receptions and a franchise-record 218 yards, showing that Cutler has another weapon in the line-up, with Brandon Marshall, Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte.
The Bears lost a bad one at home against the Saints last Sunday, and they are determined to get back in front of their fans. And against a weak NFC East, this could be their chance, as they have won three-straight games against-the-spread against teams in the NFC East.
