LeBron James’ Top 10 Best Dunks and Moments
10. Ball Don’t Lie, Sheed
Rasheed Wallace wasn’t lying when he uttered the famous words: “Ball don’t lie.” It sure didn’t lie when King James gave Sheed all the truth he could handle back in 2007.9. Bron Beats Bulls at the Buzzer
The Cavs very well could’ve been in some big trouble against the Chicago Bulls in their 2015 Eastern Conference semifinal series because of some coaching errors, but LeBron wouldn’t be denied. He (in)famously scrapped the original plan for the final play of Game 4 and took matters into his own hands.
The result: King James for the win.
8. LeBron Dunks All Over Duncan
LeBron and Tim Duncan would have some epic battles in the Finals when James moved to Miami, but his monster dunk over The Big Fundamental back in LeBron’s first go-round in Cleveland was also pretty epic as well.
7. LeBron’s Leaping Oop over Lucas
OK, so it’s not quite as impressive as Vince Carter literally dunking over a 7-foot Fred Weis, but LeBron’s alley-oop dunk while jumping over a barely six-foot John Lucas III was still mighty impressive and cool as hell to watch.
6. James Jams on Jones
LeBron James and Damon Jones ended up becoming pretty tight friends, although you’ve got to think LeBron has had his fun reminding his buddy of that time The King just eviscerated Jones with a ferocious dunk (with Jones cowering in fear) while they were still on opposing sides.
5. King James blows The Jet AWAY
Poor Jason Terry. He was on the wrong end of a 1-on-3, with the runaway freight train that is LeBron James as one of the three. He didn’t stand a chance. Jet never should’ve gone airborne; the King just blew him out of the sky.
4. The Performance in Auburn Hills
Who could forget LeBron James’ signature playoff moment during his first stint with the Cavs? 48 points, including the last 25 in a row and 29 of the last 30 in Game 5 of the East Finals vs. the Pistons. Those breathtaking numbers just speak for themselves.
3. LeBron (Finally) Beats Boston’s Big Three
Speaking of signature performances, LeBron’s truly epic 45-point outburst at the Garden against the Celtics’ Big Three in 2012 was also spine-tinglingly special. Although it didn’t result in a ring, James did finally get over the psychological hump against Boston in the postseason, which served him well in succeeding years.
2. LeBron’s Last Second Magic vs. Orlando
Another signature moment that ultimately ended up in defeat was James’ buzzer-beating three to beat the Magic in Game 2 of the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals. The Cavs got bounced in five, but that shot did go a long way in shutting up all those haters who kept saying LeBron didn’t come through in the clutch, though.
1. The King’s Big Ticket Dunk
What better way to end this list of LeBron’s greatest dunks and moments than with the one dunk that truly encapsulates all his vicious posterizations and cold-blooded clutch performances.
As Kevin Harlan so perfectly put it: “LeBron James, with no regard for human life!!”
