NBA News & Predictions

Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies (8:00 PM ET)

Line: Golden State Warriors (-7.5) vs. Memphis Grizzlies (+7.5); total 215.5: – view all NBA lines

The 44-8 Warriors will be coming in as the number one scoring (118.3 PPG), offensive, and defensive team in the league, thanks to having the deadly shooting and scoring abilities of Stephen Curry (25.3 PPG), Klay Thompson (21.5 PPG), and Kevin Durant (25.7 PPG).

However, they haven’t had success against the 33-22 Grizzlies this season, despite Memphis being among the most offensively-challenged squads in the NBA, as they lost in both of the previous meetings. What’s a bit alarming (for the Warriors and their fans) is that the two wins came in distinctively. The Grizz dominated in their first battle, 110-89, and had an even more inspirational win in their second matchup, as they edged out the Dubs in OT, 128-119, after coming back from a 24-point deficit.

In that OT thriller, Mike Conley (27 points, 12 assists) and Zach Randolph (27 points, 11 rebounds, six assists) each had big games.

The Warriors are 6-4 in their last 10 road games against the Grizzlies (5-5 ATS).

The Grizzlies are 7-2 in their last nine games on the road (6-3 ATS).

Writer’s Prediction

The Grizz escape with a 108-106 win.

Indiana Pacers vs. Washington Wizards (8:00 PM ET)

Line: Indiana Pacers (+5) vs. Washington Wizards (-5); total: 214.5 – view all NBA lines

This will be a matchup of two teams that recently had their seven-game winning streak busted. The slight difference, though, is that the Pacers will be coming off that loss, while the Wizards had time to regain some composure, as they just earned a close 114-110 win over the Nets this past Wednesday.

Nevertheless, we can expect John Wall (23 PPG, 10.5 APG) and Bradley Beal (22.4 PPG) to once again showcase a scoring barrage. They should have an exciting back-and-forth with Paul George, who has been the leading scorer in Indy and Washington’s season series – 30.5 PPG in two games.

The season series is 1-1, with almost every stat being identical. The Wizards, however, are displaying a more potent offense, particularly in their last nine games – 115.3 PPG on 50-percent shooting.

Writer’s Prediction

The Wizards win, 113-105.
