Dallas Cowboys vs New Orleans Saints Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – NFL Week 4 – September 29 2019

If the Dallas Cowboys want to silence their haters, they can do it if they take down the New Orleans Saints on the road this coming Sunday. The Cowboys are the favorites despite being the road team, but the Saints are a team that’s not one to be underestimated – with or without Drew Brees. The Saints and the Cowboys are +2000 and +900 to win Super Bowl 54, respectively. Going into this Sunday’s game, the sportsbook favors Dallas by 2.5-points. A field goal could be the difference-maker in this one folks.

Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (3-0)

The Cowboys are undefeated through three weeks of football, but many are still doubting their legitimacy as a Super Bowl contender, considering the low quality of the teams they’ve beaten thus far. In their last outing, the Cowboys thrashed the Miami Dolphins at home, 31-6. Dallas QB Dak Prescott threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns with an interception while completing 19 of 32 passes. Zeke Elliott and Tony Pollard trampled Miami’s run defense, as they combined for 228 rushing yards. New Orleans is a much more cohesive team than the dumpster on fire that is Miami, but the Saints ‘defense is one that’s seemingly leaky enough for the Cowboys to take advantage of. The Saints are allowing 27.3 points and 436.3 total yards per game –both are sub-26th in the NFL.

The Cowboys are 4-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last six road games.

Betting on the New Orleans Saints (2-1)

The Saints have found their way back to the top of the NFC South, and they didn’t even need Drew Brees to do it. With Brees out due to a hand injury, the Saints defeated the Seattle Seahawks on the road last Sunday, 33-27. Teddy Bridgewater looked capable of handling duties under center as Brees’ temporary replacement, as he tossed for 177 yards and two touchdowns without an interception on 19 of 27 completions. Bridgwater’s job is being made easier by the presence of running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Michael Thomas. Kamara led the team in the Seattle game with 69 rushing yards and a touchdown to go with 92 receiving yards and a score. Thomas had 54 receiving yards and a TD. The Cowboys haven’t come across a team this season with New Orleans’ depth, firepower, and organization, and they could be in for a surprise against the Saints after getting used to feasting on weaklings.

The Saints are 8-2 straight up (SU) in their last 10 home games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Saints win, 27-23.
