Following a resounding 118-97 win over Sacramento on Wednesday, the Detroit Pistons failed to capitalize on that momentum last night. They fell to the visiting Pistons, 100-92, and were just completely overwhelmed by Reggie Jackson’s all-around performance of 23 points, six rebounds and seven assists to lead all players.

[sc:NBA240banner ]The efforts of the Suns’ backcourt duo in Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe provided a valiant effort worth noting with 44 points and five threes combined. The two will definitely build on their performance and get the win this time around against the Thunder.

Speaking of the Thunder, they’ve have been on regression lately after starting the season with three-straight wins.  They’ve lost their previous three outings but all of those games went down the very last wire. The onus will be on the tandem of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who are each averaging almost 30 points per game through six games thus far, to lead them from start to finish.

Phoenix is 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in its past five games. Oklahoma City, meanwhile, is 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in its last five home games.

Writer’s Prediction

OKC gets the 108-102 win.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys (8:30 PM ET)

Line: Philadelphia Eagles (-3) vs. Dallas Cowboys (+3); total; 43.5– view all NFL lines

 Sam Bradford

After two solid wins in Week 5 and Week 6, the Eagles failed to end on a winning note before they headed to their bye week. They lost to the still-unbeaten Panthers, who were led by Jonathan Stewart’s 125 yards on 24 carries, with the final score of 27-16 and were handed their fourth setback of the year.

QB Sam Bradford struggled in that game, throwing for 205 yards with an interception and was sacked five times. Their offense barely got anything going excluding Ryan Matthews’ 97 rushing yards and one touchdown on just six carries. He and the rest of the Eagles will be striving to collectively relocate their offense and hope to put themselves back on the winning track later.

As for the Cowboys, the return of their No. 1 wide receiver in Dez Bryant against the Seahawks Sunday could rejuvenate some life into the team and get them the win. But that wasn’t the case, as Bryant only caught 12 passes for 12 yards and his team lost 13-12.

The Cowboys are still not the entirely the same without Tony Romo and Matt Cassel, who has started in place of their injured star signal-caller, has failed to fill in the void in last two starts. Cassel has only passed for 358 yards on a 58 percent completion rate with a touchdown and three interceptions during that stretch.

Philadelphia is 4-6 SU and ATS in its previous 10 road contests. Dallas, on the other hand, is 2-3 SU and 1-4 ATS in its last five home games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Eagles (-3) bounce back with a 23-17 triumph.
