The 2-6 Arizona Cardinals are facing an extremely tough opponent in Week 10, so hopefully for them, they used their Week 9 bye finding the perfect game plan to upset the 8-1 Kansas City Chiefs, who are +500 to win Super Bowl 53. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are a dart throw to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy next year with odds of +200,000 to do it.

Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (2-6)
For at least a day, the Cardinals felt how it is to be winners when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers at home back in Week 8, 18-15, before going into a Week 9 bye. Arizona looked as though it was headed into its third-straight defeat in that game, as the Cards entered the fourth quarter trailing San Francisco by nine points. Obviously, that didn’t turn out to be the case, as Arizona outscored the Niners in the final period, 15-3. Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen passed for 252 yards and two touchdowns with an interception and though he only completed 23 of 40 passes, he made some crucial passes, including a clutch nine-yard TD pass to receiver Christian Kirk late in the game to push the Cards ahead and for good. The important thing for the Cardinals is that Rosen is getting more comfortable in the pocket, and he could deal some damage next week against the Chiefs’ defense that’s not exactly the kind that scares opposing signal-callers. Kansas City is only 28th in the league against the pass.
Arizona is 2-1-1 ATS in its last four games as a road underdog.
Betting on the Kansas City Chiefs (8-1)
The Chiefs lowered the boom on the Cleveland Browns last week and took home a 37-21 road win against Baker Mayfield and company. Up next for the Chiefs is another showdown with a team that has a rookie quarterback on top of its offense. The Cardinals are looking like sacrificial lambs for the Kansas City, which has an offense that could be too much for the Arizona. Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have the highest scoring attack in the league with 36.3 points per game. They are also third in both total yards and passing offense with 433.4 total yards and 315.9 passing yards per contest. Although their rushing attack is only 13th (117.6), the Chiefs’ backfield could explode in this coming weekend’s game, as the Cardinals own arguably the worst run defense in the NFL. Arizona is allowing 143.1 rushing yards per game. That’s music to the ears of running back Kareem Hunt, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries against Cleveland last Sunday.
Kansas City is 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS in its last 10 home games
Writer’s Prediction
Kansas City wins, 36-20.
