The last time the Baylor Bears won against the Kansas Jayhawks, Perry Ellis was only 44 years old. But seriously, it’s almost five years since the Bears eked out a victory at the expense of Kansas, so you could just imagine the thirst of this team from Waco of finally breaking their losing streak against the Jayhawks this Saturday. The question, though, is can Baylor do just that? Or will Kansas make the Bears wait longer with a victory at home? Register to bet and wager with your pick.

Betting on the Baylor Bears (12-6)
After two straight losses, the Bears made a return in the win column with a dominant 76-60 win at home over the Oklahoma State Cowboys last Monday. Senior guard Manu Lecomte led the way for Baylor, scoring 30 points on an excellent 11-for-17 shooting from the field. The Bears easily covered the 4.5-point spread as home chalks, but it’s going to be a bigger challenge for them to take down Kansas this coming Saturday, though Baylor has beaten the spread in each of its last two trips to Lawrence. Baylor has to weather Kansas’ rolling boulder of an offense, which is not an easy task, though the Bears have shown they are capable of handling elite scoring teams. They only held the West Virginia Mountaineers to only 57 points, albeit in a loss on Jan. 9. Baylor is fifth in the conference and 36th in the nation with only 66. points allowed per game.
Betting on the Kansas Jayhawks (15-3)
Perhaps the most important trend to know in this matchup is that the Jayhawks have not lost a game as the home team against Baylor since 2013. That’s 10 straight wins in Lawrence for Kansas versus the Bears.
Apart from that, the Jayhawks’ offense is not one to be underestimated. They are third in the Big 12 with 85.0 points per game. Devonte’ Graham and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk form one of the deadliest backcourt tandems in the league. Graham leads the team with 18.3 points per game, while Mykhailiuk is not far behind him with 16.6. They combined for 33 points in a 71-66 win over West Virginia on Monday.
Kansas likes to takes three-point shots, and is having success making most of them. The Jayhawks are burying 10.8 three-pointer per game on a terrifying 41.1 percent accuracy. Despite their love of jacking up shots from the outside, the Jayhawks manage to be ninth in the nation in field goal percentage.
Writer’s Prediction:
Kansas wins, 78-69.
