Betting on the Denver Broncos (odds)
Regular Season Record: 3-5
Much has been said about the lack of success of the Broncos in Russell Wilson’s first season with the team. But the win against the Jaguars could be a sign that they are turning things around. The Broncos are averaging just 15.1 points per game and only 328.9 total yards per outing, just 21st and 23rd in the NFL, respectively, entering Week 9 of the season. Also watch out for tight end Greg Dulcic, as he is starting to carve out a serious role in Denver’s attack, collecting 138 receiving yards on 10 catches and 14 targets in the last two games. There’s also Denver’s defense that is holding opponents down to only 16.5 points per contest.
The Under is 22-6-1 in the Broncos’ last 29 games after a win.
Betting on the Tennessee Titans (odds)
Regular Season Record: 5-3
The Titans lost to Kansas City, but at least they managed to cover the spread at Arrowhead Stadium. Rookie quarterback Malik Willis was throttled in the pocket by the Chiefs’ defense, but the same can’t be said about Derrick Henry, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Tennessee is hoping that Ryan Tannehill will be ready to play in Week 10, with Willis still far from being a polished passer. If Tannehill gets the green light, it would be terrific news for the Titans, who did not have a single wide receiver catching a pass against the Chiefs.
The Titans are 6-0 against the spread in their last six games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Titans win, 20-17.
