Minnesota Vikings vs Dallas Cowboys Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – NFL Week 10 – November 10 2019

The Dallas Cowboys have gotten command of the top spot in the NFC East, but they are going to need more wins to feel complacent of their chances of topping the division, as the Philadelphia Eagles are still looming large behind. As for the Minnesota Vikings, they will look to get back on track after taking a stumble in Week 9. The Vikings and the Cowboys are +1200 and +900 to win the NFC title, respectively.

Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (6-3)

The Vikings had their four-game winning streak snapped last Sunday, as they bowed to the Kansas City Chiefs on the road, 26-23. It was a wasted opportunity for Minnesota, especially since the Chiefs didn’t have Patrick Mahomes playing quarterback for the reigning AFC West champions. Kirk Cousins went 19 for 38 for 220 passing yards and three touchdowns without an interception. He was often under great pressure from the Chiefs’ pass rush, though, which was largely the reason why he completed just half of his passes. If Adam Thielen will be healthy enough to be declared to play in Week 10, that will be a big plus for Cousins and the Vikings’ passing attack that is averaging 233.7 yards per game. Thielen’s hamstring injury worsened in the Week 9 game and is currently considered doubtful for Week 10’s matchup against the Cowboys. Wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, however, showed flashes of brilliance Minnesota thought it would get from him after taking him in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, by recording 58 receiving yards on three catches against Kansas City.

The Vikings are 5-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games.

Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (5-3)

The Cowboys suddenly have a two-game winning streak. A win over the Vikings will further boost their chances to win the NFC East. Dallas defeated the New York Giants in their last outing. The Cowboys’ defense was merciless against Daniel Jones, whom Dallas sacked five times. Jones had a hard time dealing with Dallas’ pocket pressure, committing an interception and two lost fumbles. Having seen Minnesota’s offensive line struggle in pass protection in Week 9, the Cowboys’ pair of Robert Quinn and DeMarcus Lawrence must be raring to go after Cousins. Quinn isn’t lacking motivation to wreak havoc in the game, as he is only half-sack away from pocketing a dizzying bonus worth over $800,000. As a team, the Cowboys have averaged 3.3 sacks over their last three games and seventh against the pass with just 220.0 passing yards allowed per contest.

The Cowboys are 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Cowboys win, 20-17.
