Betting on Tom Brady at Super Bowl LII
The Patriots are always going to go as far as where Tom Brady takes them. So long as Brady is healthy and at the helm of New England’s offense, the Patriots are going to be competitive. That is why Brady is treated as the heavy favorite to be named the MVP of Super Bowl LII. The 40-year-old signal-caller is priced -135 to take home the award, the shortest odds in the field. Of course, if Brady is going to be the hero of the game for the Patriots, he’d most likely have done it by going crazy through the air. TopBet gives Brady a line of 294.5 yards for bettors to bet on whether the five-time Super Bowl champion would surpass or fall short of attaining in next Sunday’s game. Brady finished the regular season leading the NFL with 4,577 passing yards with an average of 286.1 passing yards per game. Philadelphia’s defense and presents a big threat to Brady, but then again, didn’t just the Pats quarterback found a way to shred the dreaded Jacksonville Jaguars’ pass defense in the AFC title game? Brady is not big on taking off and running with the pigskin, but you could still bet on whether he would either have more than 1.5 total rushing yards or fewer. Betting on Nick Foles at Super Bowl LII
We understand the Nick Foles is the David to Tom Brady’s Goliath, but so far in these playoffs, the Eagles have looked just fine with him under center. Foles, 29, is the player with the shortest odds to win Super Bowl LII honors outside of Brady. A $300 bet on Foles to do so, would yield a bettor $100. As for his game performance itself, Foles is being priced at -220 to throw a touchdown first than an interception. If you think that letter would occur first, then you could lay money on it at odds of +170. Unlike the Pats to Brady, the Eagles are not as heavily reliant on Foles on offense, but that’s not to say that he’s not that important of course. There is a -135 price on Foles surpassing a 239.5 passing-yards night and +105 not to do so. For context, Foles had 352 passing yards against the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game, and 246 in the win over the Atlanta Falcons in the divisional round. Perhaps a ore interesting prop bet to keep an eye out is on the prospect of Foles throwing an interception, Foles, who had five touchdowns and two interceptions in the regular season, has odds of -155 to not get picked off in Super Bowl LII. On the flipside, he has a price of +125 to record at least one interception. See more Eagles players props for Super Bowl LII here.
