The drama and action from the SEC continues to sizzle as the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Alabama Crimson Tide are all set to clash in Week 6 of the 2015 college football season. Both teams are coming off of huge wins over the weekend, but only one will walk away next Saturday with its first conference win of the season.

Betting on the Arkansas Razorbacks
Head coach Bret Bielema can breathe a little easier for the time being as his Arkansas Razobacks came up with a huge 24-20 victory on the road over the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday. With the win, Arkansas snapped its three-game losing streak and ended the team’s woes of losing 10-straight games that were decided by seven points or less.
[sc:NCAA240banner ]And what better time it was for the Razorbacks to notch a win over a quality opponent, as they’ll next have to deal with the resurgent Tide in Tuscaloosa this coming Saturday. Playing in back-to-back road games is no easy feat, but that’s not if the team’s running game will be as potent this weekend as it was yesterday.
Arkansas had a pair of rushers hit the century mark, led by junior running back Alex Collins and his 154-yard and two-touchdown performance. Fellow back-fielder in freshman Rawleigh Williams added another hundred on the ground himself to give the team 275 total rushing yards against the Vols.
However, the ‘Backs better get its passing game going against ‘Bama, as the Tide are as stout as they come against the run, allowing a mere 56.8 rushing yds to the opposition – good for fourth-best in the FCS.
Quarterback Brandon Allen (219 yds and one TD on 11-of-24 passing versus Tennessee) better bring his A-game this coming Saturday if he is to bring his team’s futility in playing in Tuscaloosa to an end. The Razorbacks have lost their last five games played in Bryant-Denny Stadium, with their last win being a 34-31 nail-biter back in 2003.
The total has gone under in Arkansas’ last four road games, but over in the five games prior to that stretch.

Betting on the Alabama Crimson Tide
Just when we thought that the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide are about to fade away this early into the season, the team puts down a clinical beat down on No. 8 Georgia. The Tide rolled over the Bulldogs, 38-10, on Saturday in a game that literally had ‘Bama firing on all cylinders – offense, defense, and even special teams.
Quarterback Jake Coker played an efficient game, going 11-of-16 for 190 passing yards and a touchdown and even ran for another score. Running back Derrick Henry added 148 yards on the ground himself, including a 30-yard sprint to the end zone to help his team avoid its first 0-2 conference record since 1990.
Over on D, it was cunning defensive back Eddie Jackson who “stole” Georgia’s hopes of any comeback with a 50-yard pick-six off of second-string QB Brice Ramsey. And the icing on the cake for Bama’s explosive outing yesterday was a blocked punt deep inside Bulldogs territory, which was returned for a TD.
While ‘Bama has had its way against Arkansas of late, the team has still got some issues to fix heading into this weekend’s clash, particularly in ball protection and in the clutch. In the game against the Bulldogs, the Tide converted just one third down out of 12 opportunities and lost two fumbles as well.
But if the defense imposes its will early against the Razorbacks (three interceptions and four forced fumbles versus Georgia), expect the team the cruise to another victory in preparation for their showdown with Texas A&M in Week 7.
Alabama is 8-2 straight-up in its last ten home games, but only 4-6 against the spread.
