Betting on the Kansas Jayhawks (22-4, 10-3 Big 12)
There’s really no stopping the No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks, who just routed the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Monday, 94-67. The Jayhawks not only extended their win streak at Allen Fieldhouse to 37 games, they also got sweet revenge from their 19-point loss to the Cowboys a couple of weeks ago.
Kansas shot 50 percent from the field on Monday and 11-of-21 from beyond the arc, led by junior forward Landen Lucas’ double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds). All five of the team’s starters also scored in double digits and the Jayhawks out-rebounded Oklahoma State, 41-25, for their sixth-consecutive win.All is going well for Kansas, and not even a trip to Bramlage Coliseum this Saturday against the Wildcats seems frightening enough to derail the team’s path towards winning the Big 12. Huge victories against No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 10 West Virginia over the past week or so have the ‘Hawks flying high indeed.
As such, it seems as if Saturday’s trip to Bramlage Coliseum is another blowout in the making. A mere couple of weeks ago, the Jayhawks ravaged the Wildcats, 77-59. They shot a blistering 55.1 percent from the floor in that game and forced 23 Kansas State turnovers.

Betting on the Kansas State Wildcats (15-11, 4-9 Big 12)
With the 63-49 win over the TCU Horned Frogs on Tuesday, the Kansas State Wildcats have finally put an end to their woes away from home, as it was the team’s first road victory in over a year.
Kansas State also snapped its two-game skid thanks to Justin Edwards, who scored 17 points in his first game back in the starting lineup since coming off the bench in each of the past three contests. His teammate, Barry Brown, pitched in with 16 solid points of his own on 4-of-6 shooting from downtown.
The Wildcats limited the Horned Frogs to just 49 points in 32.7 percent shooting from the field, but that’s hardly a complement considering that TCU is the worst scoring team in the Big 12 to begin with. In addition, the ‘Cats just shot 38.8 percent from the floor as well.
What Kansas State excels at is grabbing loose balls. They out-rebounded TCU 40-31 on Tuesday and – in spite of the loss – also out-hustled the Jayhawks on the boards two weeks ago, 36-21. However, all their extra possessions were still for naught due to their shooting efficiency (or lack thereof).
Writer’s Prediction
The Jayhawks cruise to a 73-59 victory to extend their winning streak to seven games.
